Folk on the ground were trying to fight, but it was useless. It was amazing! SPAAs were actually firing at me, but I just watched their incoming shells droop and disappear. That first one, when they added helicopters, I was already far enough along both air and ground trees to buy a helicopter for the countries that had them, and I bought one just to see what they were seeing. Both cases, those ATGMs had range on nearly everything on the ground, and smarter pilots were so far away that they were just a dot on the horizon so far as anyone on the ground could tell.īoth of those occasions saw me quit playing a while. They left the Ka-50 starting matches with ATGMs for SIX MONTHS! Heck, when they first released helicopters, they were starting with ATGMs for six months as well. I would LOVE to see that sort of response to OP ground pounders. Pilots were avoiding GFRB for the BRs where it played, and they corrected that by buffing the helicopters it faced and nerfing the ADATS. Now, when they came out with the ADATS, it was slaughtering helicopters for a couple of weeks. If the pilots started grumbling over the lack of ground targets at the avoided BRs, then the devs could just correct the OP aircraft. Then, some new OP aircraft would be far more obvious, as tankers could just go play in TO mode for all the BRs that the OP aircraft caused problems in. GFRB would be a lot more fair once tankers could leave it as easily as pilots could. I also understand that WT is a GAME, and those are usually meant to be fair.
